Matthew the Apostle

The Flow of Value

Worth, Relational Signaling & the Language of Connection

Part of The Bible, The Chakras, and the 12 Disciples Series: Spotlighting the Heart Solar Plexus Throat Chakras

Opening Reflection: How Worth Is Communicated

In everyday interaction, I notice how much happens before words are spoken.

A smile.
A softening.
A guarded expression.

Something in me is constantly translating my inner state into outward signal.

When that translation is clear, connection feels natural.
When it is distorted, relationships begin to feel transactional.

This is the inner work of Matthew.

The Chakra Architecture of Matthew

Matthew operates across a three-part relational system:

💚 Heart Chakra — Value

🟡 Solar Plexus Chakra — Worth

🔵 Throat Chakra — Expression

Together, these form:

The Value & Exchange Axis

💚 Heart Chakra — The Source of Value

Matthew begins in the heart.

Before exchange…
before communication…

There is value.

When my Heart is aligned:

  • I feel what matters
  • I recognize connection
  • I value without condition

When it is not:

  • I seek approval
  • I question my worth
  • I attach value to outcome

Matthew teaches:

Value is inherent—not assigned.

🟡 Solar Plexus Chakra — The Sense of Worth

From the heart, value moves into identity.

This is where I determine:

  • what something is worth
  • what I am worth
  • what I will accept

When aligned:

  • I feel secure in myself
  • I do not overgive
  • I do not withhold

When misaligned:

  • I measure everything
  • I negotiate my worth
  • I give to earn connection

Matthew teaches:

Worth is not something I prove—it is something I embody.

🔵 Throat Chakra — The Expression of Exchange

Finally, value becomes visible.

Through:

  • expression
  • tone
  • presence

This is the Throat Chakra—
where inner truth becomes relational signal.

When aligned:

  • my expression matches my feeling
  • my signals are clear
  • connection flows easily

When dysregulated:

  • I perform
  • I mask
  • I confuse others—and myself

Matthew teaches:

Exchange reflects what I believe I am worth.

Value vs. Transaction

Healthy Matthew says:

“I can give and receive freely.”

Dysregulated Matthew says:

“I must earn connection.”

This is not failure.

It is value disconnected from truth.

Integration Insight

When Matthew is aligned within me:

  • my Heart knows value
  • my Solar Plexus embodies worth
  • my Throat expresses it clearly

And from this place:

I do not need to negotiate connection.
I can simply participate in it.

Embodied Practice: Restoring Flow

Purpose:
To restore natural exchange by reconnecting worth with expression.

Practice

Bring awareness to my face.

I notice my expression.

I gently soften my eyes… my jaw… my mouth.

I take a slow breath.

I ask:

Am I expressing truth—or managing value?

I allow my face to relax.

I affirm:

My worth is inherent. Exchange flows naturally.

Closing Contemplation: Matthew

Matthew reminds me that connection is not something I manage—

it is something I inhabit.

I do not need to earn belonging.
I do not need to calculate value.

When worth is remembered:

  • my body relaxes
  • my face softens
  • my relationships become real

Matthew is not removed.

He is restored.

Value returns to grace.
