Covenant Converts Capacity Into Commission: When Divine Fire Is Entrusted to a Servant Under Orders
By Alchemist Iris Chapman
The numbered curriculum of Wands has completed its sorting.
From Ace through Ten, Divine Fire inspected Adam’s internal government. Fire was kindled, power was entrusted, guidance was received, personas were repurposed, competing governments were confronted, authority was established, realignment was defended, discernment accelerated, established personas were recommissioned or released, and accumulated architecture was brought to the Covenant gate and qualified.
Now we enter the Court. The question changes:
- The numbered Wands asked: What can be trusted to endure?
- The Court asks: What will Divine Government now entrust to the qualified persona?
The first answer is a Commission.
The Page of Wands is Paul. But before Paul becomes the commissioned vessel, Scripture introduces another formidable persona: Saul of Tarsus. And Saul already has fire.
Saul Does Not Need More Fire
Acts introduces Saul in full momentum:
“And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.”
— Acts 9:1–2
Saul is not passive, timid, or confused about his theology. He commands intellect, discipline, elite religious pedigree, organizational execution, courage, physical stamina, rhetorical force, and relentless conviction.
The issue is not insufficient voltage; the issue is government. His fire is real, but his direction is catastrophic.
Capacity Is Not Authorization
This establishes the foundational Covenant law of the Court cards: Capacity does not establish authorization.
Saul can accomplish extraordinary organizational feats, but capability does not confer permission. He holds letters, institutional backing, doctrinal justification, personal sincerity, and an army of followers. He believes he is waging war on behalf of the Almighty. None of this proves his fire operates under Divine Covenant.
Institutional permission is never identical to Divine commission:
Institutional Authorization ≠ Divine Authorization
A religious denomination, corporate board, government agency, family system, or internal survival persona may grant permission to move. None of those endorsements guarantees alignment with Divine Government. Covenant audits the root: Who authorized the authorization?
Before Damascus, Saul’s internal circuit operates as a devastating formula:
High Capacity+Strong Conviction+Institutional Permission+Misaligned Government=Sanctified Destruction
Low-capacity misalignment does localized harm. High-capacity misalignment builds empires, organizes inquisitions, systematizes persecution, and burns down human lives while calling it holiness. The higher the voltage, the more lethal the vessel becomes without Covenant.
Do Not Destroy the Horsepower: Strip the Government
Divine Fire without Covenant becomes strange fire. Yet the Kingdom does not destroy high-voltage capacity simply because it was misdirected: strip its government; do not shoot the engine.
This directly honors the work of the Four and Ten of Wands:
- The Four: Repurpose useful capacity.
- The Ten: Qualify what can endure by shedding ownership.
- The Page: Recommission the purified asset under orders.
Saul’s boldness, razor-sharp rhetoric, stamina, strategic vision, and willingness to endure hardship are not liquidated. The horsepower remains; the driver changes.
Damascus: Divine Intervention and Somatic Arrest
“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?”
— Acts 9:3–4
Saul was moving at high velocity. Recall the Eight of Wands: governed speed is lawful only when direction is accurate. Saul possessed velocity without divine coordinates. Divine Government deploys an emergency intervention:
[Unauthorized Momentum] ──► [Transpersonal Light] ──► [Emergency Arrest] ──► [Fell to the Earth]
Covenant sometimes commands: Stop. Stopping is not failure; it is constitutional obedience.
Saul falls to the earth. Within the 18-ChakraVerse, the earth is Adam’s physical, embodied territory. The speeding intellectual persona is brought down into biological reality. The head can no longer outrun the nervous system; abstract ideology can no longer bypass embodied consequence.
The Two Constitutional Questions
On the dirt of the Damascus road, two questions rebuild the vessel:
1. “Who art thou, Lord?” (Acts 9:5)
Before Adam can discern an assignment, he must identify his Sovereign. Saul spent decades convinced he knew God. Damascus proves that religious certainty is not living recognition. He knew the texts, the traditions, and the institutional apparatus, but when Living Government confronted him, he had to ask: Who are you? Covenant begins with the identification of true Government.
2. “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6)
This single sentence defines the Page of Wands:
- Before Damascus: What do I believe is right?
- After Damascus: What wilt thou have me to do?
The Page formally surrenders the right of self-assignment. He no longer says: I have gifts, therefore I dictate the mission; I have a message, therefore everyone must submit. He waits for orders.
Chosen Does Not Mean Self-Directed
The Lord informs Ananias:
“Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…”
— Acts 9:15
Notice the title: a chosen vessel. Not an independent potentate. A vessel possesses value exclusively because of what it faithfully contains and pours out.
Chosen⟶Identifies raw capacity and constitutional suitability.
Commissioned⟶Establishes lawful assignment, timing, and boundary.
Covenant⟶Preserves lifelong faithfulness to the One who gave the orders.
The master law of the Page is absolute: The vessel does not own the cargo. Paul carries the revelation, the fire, and the message, but none of it originates in Paul. The moment a Page confuses what passes through him with what belongs to him, the vessel is compromised.
The Three Days of Blindness: Deconstructing the Lens
“And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.”
— Acts 9:8–9
This is not punitive torture; it is cognitive and sensory deconstruction. Saul’s existing perceptual matrix was trained to categorize humanity through distorted filters: orthodox vs. heretic, clean vs. unclean, ally vs. enemy.
Because the lens itself was corrupted, the operating system had to be taken offline.
The expert theologian must be led by the hand like a toddler. The Page demonstrates the courage of teachable dependence. The Court does not begin with unbridled mastery; it begins with disciplined receptivity.
Ananias and the Law of Clean Jurisdiction
God dispatches Ananias to lay hands on Saul. Ananias knows Saul’s bloody track record, yet he does not invent his own assignment. He moves strictly under specific instructions.
Even after ministering restoration, Ananias does not claim sovereign ownership over Saul:
- He enters the house.
- He calls him “Brother Saul.”
- He delivers the message.
- He lays on hands.
- He exits.
This clarifies the boundary between being sent to serve another Adam and attempting to govern another Adam. Ananias fulfills his commission without trespassing upon Saul’s internal domain.
Eve Enters the Recommissioned Vessel
Following Ananias’s obedience, the scales fall from Saul’s eyes, and he is filled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 9:17–18).
Within the 18-ChakraVerse, Eve—the Holy Spirit, Helpmeet, and Manifestor-in-Chief—enters the cleansed, surrendered vessel:
Interruption ──► Recognition ──► Surrender ──► Deconstruction ──► Cleansing ──► Infilling ──► Commission
Eve does not empower an autonomous Saul and hope for the best. The governing blueprint is purged and re-anchored in the Father before generative power is poured into the engine.
Chosen Means Accountable, Not Superior
A dramatic encounter can easily become rocket fuel for persona inflation:
- “I saw the blinding light.”
- “I heard the audible voice.”
- “I am the chosen vessel.”
The Covenant Chakra (Zebulun) strangles this pride at the root. Chosenness is never a vanity crown; chosenness is a crushing weight of accountability.
- Greater commission demands greater accountability.
- Greater revelation demands deeper teachability.
- Greater fire demands more rigorous restraint.
- Greater influence demands scrupulous respect for jurisdiction.
The Page carries the Name; he does not replace the Name with himself.
The Commission Has Defined Boundaries
Paul is commissioned “to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel” (Acts 9:15).
Even a massive, transcontinental commission possesses legal boundaries:
- Paul may preach; another sovereign Adam retains the right to walk away.
- Paul may write; a city retains the legal agency to reject his presence.
The Page is commanded to carry the cargo faithfully; he is never authorized to coerce the recipient. Furthermore, Paul is an operative persona—a specialized, commissioned identity serving the larger Adamic temple under God. No persona, regardless of how anointed its assignment, may usurp the throne of the Inner Kingdom.
Saul vs. Paul: The Constitutional Contrast
| Dimension | Saul of Tarsus | Paul the Apostle (Page of Wands) |
|---|---|---|
| Source of Fire | Zeal, tradition, institutional letters | The Living Christ, Divine Will |
| Governing Center | Autonomous ego, religious self-certainty | Surrendered stewardship, Covenant |
| Operative Question | “How do I protect my system?” | “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” |
| View of Capacity | Personal weapon of ideological enforcement | Delegated cargo belonging entirely to God |
| Generative Backing | Misaligned survival force driving destruction | Eve (Holy Spirit) animating lawful Word |
| Jurisdiction | Coercive, spiritual imperialism over others | Bounded stewardship: carries without coercion |
Calling Does Not Override Present Coordinates
Damascus was not a blank check. Paul did not receive a lifelong itinerary in a single afternoon; he lived by the Three of Wands’ Daily Bread.
Years into his apostolic ministry, the Holy Spirit explicitly forbade him from preaching in Asia (Acts 16:6). Preaching was Paul’s foundational calling, yet a broad calling never overrules current coordinates. A valid commission does not authorize every conceivable expression of that commission. The Page remains an active messenger waiting on daily orders.
The Transition: Ten of Wands to Page of Wands
[Ten of Wands: QUALIFY]
Adam audits the accumulated estate. Scaffolding is dropped.
Proprietary ownership is renounced. The cargo is de-densified.

[Page of Wands: COMMISSION]
Divine Government encounters the qualified, empty vessel
and entrusts it with holy cargo under strict orders.
In the Ten, the rich ruler walked away in sorrow because he could not separate his identity from his possessions. In the Page, Paul falls to the earth, blinded, stripped of his credentials, and rises to ask: “What do You want me to carry?”
The Court begins not with imperial decree, but with consecrated servanthood.

Page of Wands Declaration
I do not confuse capacity with authorization.
I do not confuse institutional backing with Divine commission.
I do not confuse personal conviction with constitutional alignment.
I do not confuse being chosen with personal sovereignty.
I do not confuse the cargo I carry with who I am.
The fire moves through me, but I am not its Source.
The message is entrusted to me, but I do not own the Truth.
My commission is vast, but my jurisdiction remains strictly defined.
Another Adam’s response belongs entirely to that Adam; I carry, but I never coerce.
I speak when commanded.
I remain silent when instructed.
I change direction when corrected.
I remain teachable, mobile, and anchored in Covenant.
I surrender the right of self-commissioning.
I yield to the Light that interrupts my self-directed momentum.
I allow obsolete perceptual lenses to go dark so the scales may fall.
I open the cleansed vessel for Eve to fill with generative life.
I hold the Wand as holy stewardship, never as personal property.
The Father decrees the Law.
Adam agrees and governs his earth.
Covenant preserves the integrity of the post.
Eve empowers the commissioned vessel.
I am chosen to carry, not to rule.
And no matter how far the commission carries my feet, I live in the posture of the Damascus road:
Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?
