Simon the Zealot
The Keeper of Boundaries
Protection, Conviction & the Wisdom of Distance
Part of The Bible, The Chakras, and the 12 Disciples Series: Spotlighting the Sentinel • Solar Plexus • Throat Chakras
Opening Reflection: Knowing When to Hold the Line
There are moments when something in me pulls back instinctively.
I create space.
I turn slightly away.
I stop engaging.
Not out of fear—
but out of clarity.
Other times, that same movement becomes rigid:
- I push away too quickly
- I resist before listening
- I guard without understanding
The action is the same.
What changes is who is leading.
This is the inner work of Simon.
The Chakra Architecture of Simon
Simon operates across a three-part protective system:
🛡️ Sentinel Chakra — Awareness
🟡 Solar Plexus Chakra — Conviction
🔵 Throat Chakra — Expression
Together, these form:
The Protective Boundary Axis
🛡️ Sentinel Chakra — Sensing the Need for Space
Simon begins with awareness.
Something in me recognizes:
- this is too much
- this is not aligned
- this requires distance
When my Sentinel is aligned:
- I sense clearly
- I remain calm
- I do not overreact
When it is not:
- everything feels threatening
- I stay on guard
- I cannot relax
Simon teaches:
Protection begins with awareness—not fear.
🟡 Solar Plexus Chakra — Standing in Conviction
From awareness comes decision.
This is where I determine:
- I will engage
- I will step back
- I will hold this boundary
When my Solar Plexus is aligned:
- I stand in myself
- I do not justify my boundary
- I remain steady
When it is not:
- I become rigid
- I become defensive
- I try to control
Simon teaches:
Conviction is clarity—not force.
🔵 Throat Chakra — Expressing the Boundary
Finally, protection becomes visible.
Through:
- words
- silence
- movement
When my Throat is aligned:
- I disengage cleanly
- I say no without tension
- I create space without conflict
When it is not:
- I shut down
- I react abruptly
- I confuse others and myself
Simon teaches:
Boundaries do not need explanation—they need clarity.
Protection vs. Resistance
Healthy Simon says:
“This is not mine to engage.”
Dysregulated Simon says:
“Everything is a threat.”
This is not strength—
it is protection without regulation.
Integration Insight
When Simon is aligned within me:
- my Sentinel senses clearly
- my Solar Plexus holds conviction
- my Throat expresses the boundary
And from this place:
I do not push the world away.
I simply remain in my own space.
Embodied Practice: Creating Space
Purpose:
To restore calm boundaries without reactivity.
Practice
Soften my gaze.
I allow my eyes to gently shift outward.
I take a slow breath.
I notice the space around me.
I ask:
Is this mine to engage?
I allow my body to respond.
I affirm:
I protect my boundaries with calm clarity.
Closing Contemplation: Simon
Simon reminds me that stepping back is not weakness.
Conviction does not require force.
When protection is aligned:
- I do not defend constantly
- I do not withdraw unnecessarily
- I simply remain grounded in myself
Simon is not dismissed.
He is refined.
Boundaries become wisdom again.
