Reiki, Meditation, and Root Chakra Healing

Where I Learn to Stand

Introduction

Life does not always feel stable.

Unexpected expenses arise.

Relationships change.

Careers shift.

The future becomes uncertain.

In response, many people find themselves living in a constant state of tension. They worry about what might happen next. They struggle to relax. Even when circumstances improve, their body remains prepared for danger.

They are surviving, but they are not standing.

The Root Chakra governs our relationship with safety, stability, endurance, and physical existence. It teaches us how to remain present when life becomes difficult and how to continue moving forward without becoming overwhelmed by fear.

This is where Reiki and meditation can work together powerfully.

One brings awareness.

The other brings energetic support.

Together they help us learn what it truly means to stand.

The Challenge

Root Chakra imbalance often appears in ordinary life rather than dramatic spiritual experiences.

You may notice:

  • Constant worry about money
  • Fear of failure
  • Chronic stress
  • Difficulty relaxing
  • Feeling unsafe even when nothing is wrong
  • Exhaustion from always being “on alert”
  • Difficulty trusting life
  • A sense that everything could collapse at any moment

Many people believe their problem is external.

They think they need more security, more certainty, or more control.

Sometimes those things help.

But often the deeper issue is that the nervous system has forgotten how to feel safe.

The Root Chakra becomes trapped in survival mode.

Instead of responding to life, it reacts to perceived threats.

Instead of standing firmly, it braces for impact.

Malachai’s Observation

What Pattern Is Revealing Itself Here?

The Root Chakra governs endurance.

Its truth is simple:

“I remain, and I continue.”

The Root Chakra is not concerned with success.

It is not concerned with status.

It is not concerned with recognition.

Its first question is much simpler:

“Can you remain present when life becomes difficult?”

Within the 18-ChakraVerse framework, the Root Chakra is represented by Noah.

Noah does not control the storm.

He does not stop the flood.

He does not eliminate uncertainty.

He simply endures.

He remains steady when the world around him becomes unstable.

The Root Chakra teaches the same lesson.

Strength is not the absence of challenge.

Strength is the ability to remain standing when challenge arrives.

Why Combine Reiki and Meditation?

Meditation helps calm the mind.

Reiki helps calm the energetic field.

The breath creates a bridge between them.

As attention settles on the breath, the nervous system begins receiving signals of safety.

As Reiki flows, tension and energetic contraction begin to soften.

Together they help shift consciousness away from survival reactivity and toward grounded presence.

The goal is not to escape reality.

The goal is to become stable enough to meet reality as it is.

Root Chakra Healing Practice

Step One: Breath Awareness

Sit comfortably with both feet connected to the floor.

Close your eyes.

Allow your awareness to settle on the breath.

Notice each inhale.

Notice each exhale.

There is nothing to force.

There is nothing to fix.

Simply breathe.

As you continue breathing, imagine roots extending downward from your body into the Earth.

Feel yourself supported.

Feel yourself held.

Remain here for several minutes.

Step Two: Reiki Connection

Invite Reiki energy to flow.

Place your hands over the lower body, hips, thighs, knees, or wherever feels natural.

Bring awareness to the Root Chakra at the base of the spine.

Allow Reiki to flow without directing it.

There is no need to force healing.

There is no need to chase sensations.

Simply allow.

Imagine the chakra becoming steady, grounded, and nourished.

Step Three: Root Chakra Mantra

The Root Chakra teaches endurance.

Its mantra reflects that truth.

Repeat slowly with the breath.

Inhale:
I remain.

Exhale:
I continue.

Or repeat continuously:

“I remain, and I continue.”

Allow the words to settle into your awareness.

Let the breath carry the intention.

Feel the body receiving the message.

Feel the nervous system remembering safety.

Integration

After several minutes, release the mantra.

Return to simple breathing.

Observe whatever arises.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I living from fear?
  • What am I trying to control?
  • What challenge is teaching me endurance?
  • What would it feel like to trust my ability to remain?

Allow the answers to emerge naturally.

The purpose is not analysis.

The purpose is awareness.

Closing Reflection

The Root Chakra does not promise a life without uncertainty.

It teaches something more valuable.

It teaches resilience.

Reiki helps restore balance to the energetic field.

Meditation helps quiet the mind.

The breath anchors awareness in the present moment.

The mantra reminds us of the truth of endurance.

Together they create a simple practice that strengthens our ability to remain steady amid life’s changing conditions.

Because before we can build, create, lead, love, or transform, we must first learn to stand.

And the Root Chakra teaches us how.

I remain.

I continue.
